Outstanding crossover. I truly appreciate your use of the recipes from Hogfather as well. Not everyone appreciates the subtle use of la cuisine de la terre!

Wow, this really is an excellent story. I can't believe there aren't more Jeeves/Wimsey crossovers! I think you captured Bertie's voice very well and managed to stay clear of pastiche. It's interesting to see some of Bertie's service and his complete amnesia about it. I love how, of course, he would call Peter "Flim". I found the twinning of Jeeves and Bunter amusing, but I think it would also be interesting to see the differences between their characters delineated more sharply. Of course, that would be rather difficult from Bertie's limited perspective, but it is an idea that would be interesting some day. Jolly good show, old bean.

Wonderful - the buried tragedy surfacing briefly amidst the light comedy. I particularly like the subtlety of Lord Peter's response when Wooster sits up and Peter sees Bertie's facial expression.

I have read both sources - Wimsey and Wooster - and I really like this combination. I think you have caught much of the feel of the style Wodehouse used for Bertie. P.S. There are a few typos in this first chapter that could be corrected.

I do not know these backstories you are using for this crossover, but I love Bertie. Hilarious, the way he thinks. And Jeeves I can just see him being all proper and intense yet with a twinkle in his eyes. I am intrigued and want to figure out the mystery of the jewels. Am tuckered out though, tomorrow I will be reading part 2. Keek oh and btw some of your tag/codes went wonky like this one: was listening to Anatole's invectives against the copper who pulled him away from his kitchen, ruining, positively ruining his sauce for mousse de la boue dans une panier de la p&acric;t? de chaussures, Just fyi it is after all some haute cuisine so I didn't know what it was anyhow. But maybe it is a delicasie, it sure sounds decadent.
