Hello, fellow internet wanderer and welcome to our humblingly small corner of the net. As a story archive, we host both original fiction and fanfiction of almost any kind. Both het and slash are welcome. Some of the stories in the archive are NC-17 erotica and very adult so, to avoid corrupting today's youth any more than they already are, we can only allow members of legal age join.
As a forum, we discuss a variety of topics, most usually writing in some shape or form, whether it be the craft of writing or just the reading of it, but be warned - our members are not shy. Nice? - yes. Shameless? - absolutely. Nerds who proudly wallow in our nerdiness? - does Beorn crap in the woods? (i.e. yes), but definitely not shy.
You don't have to be a member to read stories in the archive, only to submit stories or leave reviews, the latter of which are grovelingly welcomed. Signing up for the archive is easy: just read the site guidelines , and then register. Registering for the forum is done separately from the archive and you can register above. Please use the same name on both the forum and the archive.

Quills is also the home of Imedhuir (Sindarin for "Valley of Dark Dreams"), an adult Tolkien/fantasy writers group created by a group of our more bored but talented members. If you'd like to find out more, please contact the Imedhuir mods at imedhuir@gmail.com. The stories by the Imedhuir writers can be found here. (Again, the majority of the stories were written by pervvy authors, thus are chock-full of NC-17 content. Adults only, please.)
Make yourself at home here at Quills. There are new friends, good stories, and interesting conversations to be found. Introduce yourself in the Welcome section of the forum, read some stories, or better yet, write one of your own. Even if you never have before. How many of you have read a story and thought, "I can write something better than that"? Go for it. That's how most of us got started.
